Bio

I was born and raised in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania a twin and youngest of four children (seven minutes). Growing up in Pittsburgh, sports were always a big part of my life. My parents were both athletes and I was blessed to have their ability. From Grade School to High School, I played football, basketball, and baseball. During my college years, I participated in football. I received a B.S. in Elementary Education from Indiana University of Pennsylvania.

In 1996 I started to train in Powerlifting; I had the honor of training at Gold’s Gym in Pittsburgh with the late Jeff Wright. I trained with Jeff’s Powerlifting Team for over 3 years prior to his passing. During that period, I competed in three Powerlifting competitions placing second in the 198wt. class Delaware State’s, first place in the Steubenville, OH Bench Press/Deadlift Meet 242wt. class, and first in the Cleveland, OH IPA Bench Press Show 242wt. class. I have worked and trained with some of the most respected powerlifters and bodybuilders in the world. I have been actively involved with personal training for over 12 years. I work with High School, College and Pro athletes. In 1994, our Team at Glen Mills School won the National High School Powerlifting Championships. In addition, I am a current member of the Private Trainers Association (PTA). PTA Certified Professionals are respected fitness trainers, known for their knowledge and experience in conditioning, strength training, fitness assessment, exercise program development and nutrition. The Founder, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of our association is Joe Antouri PhD. N.D.

Why a Private Trainer

Technique, Motivation, Experience, Knowledge and Goals
I hear all the time from clients that have been away from the gym; “that the equipment has changed” or “I am embarrassed to train around others”. Whether you are first timer or have been training for years, professional training can help you overcome the fears we face when approaching fitness and exercise. Everyone needs motivation from someone other than ourselves. By teaching my clients the proper technique whether it’s with the machine or free weights, my experience and knowledge will help keep you motivated to reach your goal. My overall objective is to make my clients strive to reach their highest potential. I have currently put together a weight training program for 4, 6 and 8 weeks. One on one, couples, or group training (no more than 3 at a time) are all welcome. In addition, I have put together a high intense conditioning program from novice to pro.

Understanding My Clients

My role as your personal trainer is to understand your needs and the pattern in which your body adapts to particular exercise programs. I will push my client very hard to excel while at the same time educating the client on the benefits and importance of exercise. Being pro active with positive client encouragement, having a smile on my face and listening to my client’s feedback separates my style of training from that of others. Overall by achieving more conditioning, stability, muscle tone, definition and overall strength my client’s will be able to rise to the next level. To make my routines more enjoyable, there are consistent changes made in programs and new exercises incorporated using different equipment. Through these attributes, my fitness programs are designed to be both interesting and challenging. I will provide regular modifications and guidance to encourage individual progress. And at the end of the day, I know my client will always get a superior workout!

Conclusion

I want each client to be excited about their program and confident with my extensive experience, it is important to leave an impression on the client. My purpose is to have my client experience life changing results that will ensure their return for future sessions. I feel the bond that’s built with each client from the beginning of training to the end will always be the most rewarding. I will evaluate and recommend what level you will need to start your training when our sessions are completed. It’s funny, one of the most popular questions I hear from my client after our training sessions are completed, “who is going to spot me now that my trainer is gone”. Overall each client will have learned the knowledge and techniques as to what equipment to use and how to set the goals, which at one time you never thought was possible.
